Asbestos Waste 

In England and Wales, asbestos waste is defined as Hazardous Waste, in Scotland, it is Special Waste

 

Hazardous and Special Waste must be correctly packaging, transported and disposed of. 

 

Asbestos waste includes disposable equipment and materials used when asbestos surveying, things such as: Wet-wipes, coveralls, gloves, boot covers, drop-sheets, etc. MUST be disposed of in full compliance of the countries waste regulations.

The transportation of asbestos waste requires the carrier to be registered as a waste carrier with the EA/SEPA.

Asbestos waste must also be deposited at a licensed disposal facility, not in your mates skip or general waste bins. 

If you need help or assistance with registering, please let us know. 

Registering to transport waste may be free. 

Where you are not a licensed carrier and have a formal arrangement with a licensed waste carrier, evidence of this will be required.
