The following information is based on questions ask during public Teams meetings, through direct enquiries and several discussions.

General
Not yet! The ASG is a new initiative, but with your help and commitment to improving the asbestos surveying sector, then it will grow, it will become recognised.
I will also add, with my drive, tenacity and a little bit of cheek, I will make the Guild what it should be, the place to register if you are a serious asbestos surveyor.
Registration is £350.00 per person, then an ongoing annual fee of £295.00.
There are additional costs, as an example, to progress through the levels of registration, you will be required to submit 2 asbestos surveys to be audited.
The audits will be carried out by industry professionals with knowledge, experience and expertise in asbestos surveying. They will require payment for their time, so a fee of between £80 and £180 per survey review, the price is dependent on the size and extent of the survey submitted.

At the moment, it's just me, Paul Beaumont.
I have approached several organisations and authorities over the last couple of years and asked if they would have an interest in setting something like this up, none took up the offer.
As mentioned, at this time, it is just me, but I really need help. I have funded everything so far, there is no hidden benefactor, no sponsorship or endless pot of gold that I can dip into.

Absolutely not, if I could offer free registration, then I would. The problem is, it needs funding, this will be achieved by membership fees and services.
Th Guild is a Not-for-Profit organisation. Excess funds will be donated annually to an asbestos related charity.
Trust me, no one is going to be a millionaire out this, it's all about improving the sector, not directors bank accounts.
Asbestos surveying will inevitably generate waste, this would be coveralls, filters, disposable RPE, wet-wipes, etc. These items, after use, would have been in contact with suspected or/and or later proven asbestos materials, as such, they are classified as "Asbestos Waste", see HSG210, EM9 and L143. You cannot throw hazardous waste in the general waste streams. You either transport them, so a licence is required, to a licensed disposal facility or you engage a licensed waste contractor to dispose of for you. All we ask of enrollees is to prove of lawful transportation and disposal.
